Board Meeting

Nov 6, 2006

ROGER: 11/6/2006 4:01 pm
Given the nature of posts and daily digests, etc. on the YahooGroups sites, I would prefer to conduct this by direct email. A "log" of sorts can be drafted and posted as usual. I will begin by posting the Agenda with my comments included. Feel free to post your comments subsequently or separately. Let the November meeting be called to order!

Project Review

Survival Booklet and CD of TT web content

ROGER: 11/6/2006 4:01 pm
Booklet and CD supplies are holding steady. I had a significant lull in the orders that coincided nicely with my relocation do to a job change. I am unfortunately much closer to a big city than I care to be, but am still close enough to safe areas to be not too worried about it. I've seen a few orders (2 on average per week) this past month. The funds on this side are steady as usual.

NANCY: 11/7/2006 6:41 am
I have included the voice recording by Roger in each Blog radio hour for the past couple months, so hopefully this will continue to bring in orders. There is normally an upswing in orders when some Earth changes bring attention to the message, and quakes and volcanic activity, as well as weather extremes, are all on the increase lately.

STEVE: 11/9/2006 1:21 pm
Should be interesting going into the new year.

Seed Project

ROGER: 11/6/2006 4:01 pm
My new location has a larger yard and will soon support growing space for some of our more limited varieties. I had a huge harvest of potatoes (both sweet and regular) and will eat a few and over-winter the majority as usual.

NANCY: 11/7/2006 6:41 am
I finally harvested my Green Soy, which just kept growing and putting out flowers and setting new beans until the frosts. This is a dynamite bean plant! I got an excellent harvest of seed, but it went beyond that. When I pulled up the plants I was thrilled to see nitrogen setting nodules on the roots! I'm going to have this in my garden every year.

STEVE: 11/9/2006 1:21 pm
I've often enjoyed eating green soy beans (edamame) at Japanese restaurants. They basically just boil them in their pods for 10 minutes, sprinkle some salt over them and then they can be eaten by just squeezing them from their pods directly into your mouth.

Shortwave Radio Project

ROGER: 11/6/2006 4:01 pm
Nothing new to report from Helena since her last report.

Server Project

ROGER: 11/6/2006 4:01 pm
The server was dismantled in preparation for my move and a place has been selected for re-assembly/installation. My DSL service remained the same and is as "elite" as possible without switching to a static IP level of service. I will be reconnecting cables and setting it back up in the next month or so. Test downloads/uploads would be nice from off-site locations, especially from Gerard!

GERARD: 11/9/2006 11:37 am
If Roger could give me the IP address of the server then I could check out if I can get on it and so.

Other Business

NANCY: 11/7/2006 6:41 am
Funds are adequate in the corporate checking account, and I have recently paid out the $215 to renew our Delaware Representative, TTC. I have no new business needing to be addressed.

STEVE: 11/9/2006 1:21 pm
No comments.

Adjournment

ROGER: 11/6/2006 4:01 pm
An adjournment email will be sent after I receive comments, etc. from all members in "attendance."

ROGER: 11/9/2006 1:30 pm
I have comments or "no comments" from everyone so I officially declare this meeting adjourned! Great bit
of info Steve! I will cut and paste an official "log" and send it to Nancy.

Thanks for participating,
